Tea coffee biscuits & plenty of room to sit and watch. Good backing band with sound engineer balancing everything out. Early days yet, but varied acts and musicians vocal and instrumental turning up for a play.

Great format showcasing local talented musicians/singers,strong house band really supported newcomers well I thought. Very enjoyable night for music lovers. Youâ??re going to need a bigger venue as word gets around.

Iâ??m amazed at the amount of talented musicians and singers we have coming to the Jam at Fathers House.
We will get through the next few weeks, and have another great night. So looking forward to keep playing and photographing at these jam sessions.

Hi guys, want to share some of the great feedback and thoughts I've received. Our second 'Jazz Jam' was really full in fact I would say the audience was double the size on the first one. After I talked to people about the first one I discovered a myth going round the people thought it was just for musicians. When I explained it wasn't and that non-musicians were welcome the audience size grew and the 'new' audience members said they would bring their friends after they enjoyed the second one so much. So doing some advertising to non-musicians might be useful.
Our plan is to do the next Jam in the main hall as seating in the foyer had become really tight. This will also give us the opportunity to try and improve the 'onstage' sound for performers and enable us to have great out front sound and and have a bigger audience space. Paul and I are talking on a regular basis as to how to improve the night and we appreciate your feedback. Once we're through the current challenge facing us all we're looking to take the night from strength to strength. Lv Rich

Really glad you've decided to make it to Shaftesbury Phil, we will be ironing out the teething problems, once the travel bans are over
